START WITH SUITABILITY

The right route
for your installation.

Form A1-2 is for particular small-generation arrangements. The roof’s panel capacity alone cannot tell you which application is needed.

Use documented
AC capacity.

Consider the existing and proposed generation, including any separately connected storage inverter. Use the registered AC current on the highest-loaded phase and the rating of each generating unit—not the panels’ DC kWp or the battery’s kWh capacity.

Equipment type-testing, export limitation, phase arrangement and any backup operation also matter. A network operator must assess the actual design. This guide does not certify eligibility or grant permission.

Not sure of a rating? Leave it unknown. Send the postcode, inverter models, type-test references and an outline of existing and proposed equipment to hello@aesirsolar.co.uk.

Based on ENA G99 Issue 2, section 6.2.2 and NGED’s connection procedures, reviewed 8 September 2026. Boundary cases and the operator’s current requirements need confirmation.

AN INDICATIVE GUIDE

Unknown details need a conversation before a paid application. This guide cannot establish suitability by itself.
